No One Should Be Homeless
Homelessness is not inevitable.
Australia's housing crisis is getting worse, with 116,000 Australians experiencing homelessness on any given night.
Make a difference today and donate. It’s time to end homelessness.
Why it's important to end homelessness
Rough Sleeping
Rough sleeping is a potent reminder of policy failure and highlights the ongoing urgent need to increase the stock of permanent, safe and affordable housing for all our vulnerable citizens
Families, Youth and Aging
More than 116,000 people experience homelessness on any given night and many of these people have children.
Our research into families and homelessness has shown that a lack of affordable housing and low income support are two main drivers of family homelessness in Australia.
Women and LGBTIQ
Figures from specialist homelessness services (SHS) highlight more females than males receiving assistance, contrary to Census Data
Evidence indicates that lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer (LGBTIQ) people are over-represented among those experiencing homelessness.

Ending Homelessness
We can end homelessness once and for all. With collective action and the right policies in place we can create lasting society change for those without a home in our community.
People experience homelessness for many different reasons and some of the main causes are a lack of affordable housing, family and domestic violence, poverty and unemployment.
Help make a difference
Housing is a human right, not a privilege but we aren’t defending this human right for thousands of Victorians in need of a safe place to live. Homelessness is traumatic, dangerous and isolating. It has a devastating impact on someone’s physical and mental health, and how they participate in society.
It’s time to pull together to change our unequal society, and end homelessness once and for all. Become an advocate and speak truth to power, volunteer your time or give a donation to support someone in crisis today.
